Wow what a simply insane 6 months we’ve had. The maddest wedding season we’ve ever had! Bumper and beautiful on so many levels.

All our photo-shoots are now edited. And we’ve now just a few studio viewing sessions remaining next week to have.

I feel now space to breathe.
To look back and to appreciate even in the madness of being a luxury wedding photographer, how much I love what I do.

Our jobs take us all over the world.

Documenting so many extraordinary and very special stories.

Meeting incredible people and travelling to all corners of our planet.

Would you believe this herd of elephants walking to their daily watering hole is from a wedding story?

Yep, it sure is!

The most beautiful story a few years ago that took me deep into The Serengeti and this photo was taken from my bedroom window!

I remember meeting the bride for the first time. Hearing all about her ideas for her 4-day safari wedding. They wanted to give their family and friends the most incredible adventure – with their wedding along the way and my goodness did they do just that!

I remember too when I heard that they wanted to commission us to photograph their story.

I felt so excited that I literally had tingles down my back. Their adventure encapsulated everything I adore. Wildlife, travel off the beaten track, adventure and a very beautiful love story.

Life can be so hectic and busy for us all.

But isn’t it so important that we create space in our day to reflect on our journey that has got us to where we are right now.

Photographs have such a wonderful ability to transport us back to our memories.

That’s one of the many reasons why I love what I do.

Our Studio Viewing and LIFE book Creation Session

Our Studio Viewing and LIFE book Creation Session is one of my favourite parts of the very special photography experience we create for our couples.

When for many couples it’s a time for wedding blues, it’s a time for our couples when we welcome them to our studio to relive their wedding day all over again.

And then we begin the truly magical process of designing their LIFE book - our world acclaimed luxury wedding heirloom that we create for all our couples.

The photos, artwork, fonts, colours, styling, cover fabric, paper, headbands, end papers…there is no limit within the book world of what we can produce.

Yesterday was all about the LIFE book for @camillaw1906 and @tgweeks

And between now and Christmas, my diary is jam-packed with more.

It’s a magical experience and slaps any wedding blues straight in the face.

It’s been quite a week for us so today I’m goi

It’s been quite a week for us so today I’m going to keep this post simple.

It’s a personal message of heartfelt appreciation and love to a truly amazing group of people.

Last Saturday, just hours before starting to photograph a wedding, both Ian and I tested positive for Covid. Our worst nightmare had happened.

To Kelly & Abel and your families, @kellylandesberg, @cklandesberg, @thejamiedoll and to @nadine_van_biljon and @clairegrahamphotography who both last minute (quite literally), dropped everything in their lives to come and work tirelessly to photograph so beautifully a very special wedding on our behalf @thedorchester, we want to say the biggest thank you.

Thank you to you all. For your support, calmness and understanding. It is often in the face of challenge and adversity that you get to see people’s true character and values.

My message today is to each of you to say from Ian and I…. From the bottom of our hearts, you are all awesome. Thank you.

Kelly & Abel, your wedding story was crazy, epic, so full of love and joy. Your photos look amazing and we cannot wait to now continue your very special photography journey with us. The next step is all about us creating the most incredible LIFE book for you!
