There is no hiding the fact that Steven is a man with a very impressive beard. He may not be a Greek God but he’s a magician with a camera!
Being one of six children has made Steven very competitive, although he does says he has learnt to win and loose gracefully in later years. Coming from a large family has made Steven realise that although life can be tough, it is ‘on the whole, amazing’.
In his youth Steven went to stage school and remembers performing Elvis and Frank Sinatra impersonations. He says that making people smile and laugh is very important to him.
He started his working life in documentary film and then went on to a successful career in publishing and marketing, when he travelled the world and lived overseas for 16 years. Whilst living in Copenhagen, Steven’s best chum was a DJ for Radio Copenhagen and consequently he often interviewed the latest pop stars that were in town. Not wanting to miss out on the action, Steven was delighted when his DJ friend asked him to be a ‘minder’ for a couple of hours now and then. Being 6’3″ and 15 stone did give him an advantage. Be assured that you are in safe hands, knowing that your photographer was once a minder for Gilbert O’Sullivan and Meat Loaf!
10 years ago Steven followed his dream of becoming a professional photographer and it’s no surprise that he is very highly regarded within the industry.
Steven loves family, and has 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Although travel has featured a great deal in his life, his hunger for new experiences means he now wants to travel the world and make new memories with his fiancé Ginny, ‘the woman that keeps me sane and grounded’.
